This conversion kit is available for the following Vauxhall / Opel types:

– Corsa-B (manufactured 1993 till 2000)
– Tigra-A (manufactured 1994 till 2000)
– Astra-F (No MID displays!, only the verions with TID)

TID = Tripple Info Display

With this conversion kit, you can convert your original Vauxhall / Opel info display into a high-tech onboard computer. We created an electronic device to give your info display some more important functions such as;

Speed, Revs counter (only petrol cars), Distance travelled, Avarage speed, Max speed, Oil-temperature ,0-100km/h (0-60 Miles), 0-200kmh, 0-1000m, Voltage, 1/4 mile, scroll text, Radio display.

This conversion kit comes with a good fitting guide (English), and a button for fitting somewhere on the dash. You can scroll though the menu with this button, to display all different functions. It is also still possible to display the normal radio frequence of course.

General Information:

– Stabile fused power supply.
– Secondary reference power supply for a 100% accurate measurement
– Precise resistors network for the current measurements (0,1% tolerance)
– Precise Pull-Up for the temperature measurement (1% tolerance)
– Power consumption when idle 20mA.
– Print board made to industrial specs.
– Print board made from Fibreglass.
– Used capacitors to high specifications (105degres working temperatures)
– Self resetting 100mA fuse in main power supply line.
– Radio functions for can be switch on or off.
– All data are kept even when ignition is switched off.
– All data for calibration are remembered even after a power loss.
– Inputs for radio, rpm and distance driven are fused against power surges.
– Inputs are clearly marked.

The different functions are displayed by pushing a button. The function is showed by a text first (“AVGSPEED”, “DISTANCE”, “1/4 MILE”, etc) before the data is presented. Because only 8 digits can be shown, at one time the units some times will not be shown. (“123,4 km/h average” will be shown as “123,4 AV”).

Passing the radio signal to the TID:
When this mode is chosen the module will pass the signal from the factory radio straight to the TID as if the module is not installed. This is function is deactivated as soon as the radio is switched off. Because all radio data is passed through the module it will insure that all factory radios and radios with adaptors (like Kenwood) will still work.

Scroll text when starting and switching off the engine:
The scroll text “MTech” will only appear once when starting or switching off the engine.

Speedo:
In this mode the speed given is the actual speed of that moment within a tolerance of 1 km/h. The data is still processed properly up to a speed of 350Km/h (checked with a frequency controller) and if you can go faster than this, we can find a solution for you. We want to warn you that our Speedo does not have any slack in it like a normal Speedo. The speed you are doing is the actual speed given on the display so this can be less then what your conventional Speedo is displaying. To be insured that the data displayed is correct a code has been put in the module with a calibration mode. With this the display can be adjusted to a different car and calibrated.(The display will work without the calibration but will not be 100% accurate).

RPM:
The second display mode shows the actual rpm of the crankshaft. (A lot of people speak of the engine rpm, the author of the manual is certain that the crankshaft rpm is measured…..) The tolerance is 100Rpm. (A smaller tolerance would have been no problem technically but due to the rapid change in rpm data the display would just a blur of data). As soon as you get up to the critical rpm (red area on a normal rev counter) the display will start to blink. The display is updated 8x a second but this can be switched off.
Because the pulses from the crankshaft vary from engine to engine, you can choose after fitting for 2-8 pulses per crankshaft revolution.

Distance:
This is the digital version of the distance you drove on a trip. The same signal is used to display your speed. The smallest measurement is 10cm. The display will scale it self up or down when the data will not fit on the display. The module works to an accuracy of 1/100mm.

Average speed:
This gives the average speed driven from the last reset. This data is kept in the modules memory even when the engine is switched off. Waiting time at traffic lights and so on are calculated within the processor and then are detracted. If desired the actual average speed can be programmed into the module.

Oil temperature:
As it says the actual oil temperature is displayed. A sensor is also in this kit. It replaces the oil drain plug. When fitting the sensor (oil drain plug ) the temperature measured can go from -50° to +150° . The oil temperature display is deactivated (does not show when scrolling through the display) if the sensor is not fitted.

Voltage:
This displays the voltage on board between 8 and 28V in steps of 0,1V. Precise resistors are used to assure a precise reading.

1/4 Mile:
The last 3 displays are the ones with the must entertainment level. The 1/4 mile mode will show the time it takes from a stand still to a 1/4 mile. The time is given in tenths of a second.

How it works: When standing still the driver will activate the reset button. As soon as the wheels start turning the counter will start to run and will stop as soon as 1/4 mile has been driven. First, you will see your best time. As soon as you press, the reset while the car is still moving the display will say “STOP CAR”. As soon as the wheels have stopped turning the display will show “GO GO GO”. As soon as you start moving the stopwatch will start and will stop after a 1/4 mile is driven. If you have beaten your best time the display will blink with your new best time. As long as the reset is not pressed, the display will show the best time ever done on the 1/4 mile.

Maximum Speed driven:
This displays your top speed ever driven with the car. The data is stored in its memory and will be kept even when the engine is switched off.

0 to 100 Km/h:
This works the same as the 1/4 mile mode. The display shows the time needed for a sprint from 0 to 100Km/h.The time is given in tenths of a second.

Fitment
It is very easy to fit the module into your car. Just unplug the original conector from your info display and connect it to one side of a connector of our module. The other connector of the module goes back into your info display.

After this, you must also connect three other wires.

-1 RPM signal. (from the back side of your speedo- meter)
-2 Oil temperature. (from the drain plug tempsignal)
-3 Menu button on your dashboard. (2 wires)

zie bij die bovenstaande pics een paar kadettjes staan met astra f bumpers…. Passen deze direct of moeten die aangepast worden??

dit wordt veel gedaan, je kan ook astra gsi bumper kopen, die speciaal voor de e kadett zijn gemaakt.

Hier een voor beelt van aan gepaste astra bumpers(is de oude auto van een maat van me)

Deze bumpers stond resentelijk nog te koop op het forum hier.

Maar als je met je banden maat gaat kloten dan wordt toch de omwenteling anders en dan geeft je km.teller heel wat anders dan dat je rijdt!?

17inch is mogelijk, met de juiste et waarde, maar je moet! 4×100 hebben.

Jazeker velgen maken de auto vaak *(vindt ik persoonlijk). Maar bedankt voor het compliment ! ben er druk mee bezig dus.

Heb je een u2u gestuurd over die C2’s, ligt eraan wat de vraagprijs is anders verder met de bbs opknappen. Heb de bbs overigens nog niet zovaak onder de corsa’s gezien !
